Double-Take® Software: 2009 is looking good!
With no fewer than eight key product introductions making the news last year, Double-Take counts on continuing to expand the market for its dynamic infrastructure solutions in 2009. Products such as netBoot/i and sanFly deliver increased load management flexibility while reducing power consumption, contributing to a greener IT infrastructure. While Double-Take Software's cost effective solutions for real-time replication and failover position the company among the leaders in the market, it's in the virtualised datacenter where Double-Take Software has been especially innovative, with solutions for VMware infrastructures on the market for two years already.
A focus on Hyper-V in 2009
Among its projects for 2009, Double-Take Software plans on becoming a key player in Microsoft Hyper-V deployments, delivering new capabilities. “With Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V currently rolling out, Double-Take Software gives users the tools they need to migrate, while protecting their virtual infrastructure” says Olivier Cohen, Director of Sales at Double-Take Software. A version specially designed for Hyper-V supports replication and failover of Hyper-V virtual machines, for disaster recovery or high-availability deployments. Hyper-V support is planned for Double-Take Virtual Recovery Assistant. Starting this month, Microsoft's clustering features are enhanced by the GeoCluster solution. Double-Take Software will also be extending the Microsoft Quick Migration functionality, which allows fast migration of virtual machines between host platforms, including support for remote sites, eliminating single points of failure and potential weaknesses.
